Frequently Asked Questions

What do I believe in?

Honesty, integrity, responsibility, love and understanding are extremely important to me. Everybody is equal in our world. At the end of the day, we will be remembered for what we do and not what we have. Every one of us should strive to have a positive influence on other people’s lives and on the environment in which we live.

What is my most treasured possession?

This is difficult to answer. I am not materialistic.

What one thing would I save if the house burnt down?

My Wife. I could not do without her.

If I had a superpower what would it be?

I would like to be able to transpose my body matter from one place to another with the click of my fingers.

Regrets.

I have been lucky in life but looking back I wish I had pursued a writing career from an earlier age.

What music do I Listen to?

I have varied tastes, from big bands in the 40’s and 50’s and pop in the 60’s and 70’s.  In recent years I have been attracted to classical music. I like nothing more than relaxing to Rachmaninov’s 2nd piano concerto. I also adore Katherine Jenkins voice.

What charities do I support?

The East Anglia Children’s Hospice: I cannot imagine what it is like to have a child with a life-threatening condition. Both the child and its parents or guardians should receive all the support they need.

The Air Ambulance: This fabulous charity is run by volunteers with faces that we never see. Somehow with donations and fund-raising activities they manage to operate their life saving service every day of the year. I think it demands people’s support.

The Royal Navy Lifeboat Institution: I have seen first-hand the volunteers in action off the North Norfolk coast. The brave and fearless volunteers need all the support they can get.

The funniest thing that ever happened to me?

I have had fun all my life, and It is impossible to choose one special moment. However, I do remember being stopped in my car by a policeman in a one-way street. I had to tell him that he was going the wrong way.
